How a limb comes down
The three-cut method.
Anybody can cut a branch. The trick is taking it down without tearing the bark. This is the sequence, every limb, every time.
The undercut
A short cut from underneath, a few inches out from the trunk. It stops the bark from peeling when the limb drops.
The top cut
A second cut from the top, just past the undercut. The limb falls away clean, and the trunk never feels the tear.
The final cut
One smooth cut at the branch collar. No stub, no flush wound. Just the clean edge a tree knows how to heal.
